Who is Kreative Kiwi?
I'm Heather from Christchurch New Zealand - Where is New Zealand - think
Australia, and we are just below there. (about 3 hours flying)
I live in the South Island and we are lucky enough to be about 30
minutes from beaches and then go the other way and we are about 90
minutes from the Mountains.
We New Zealanders are known throughout the world as 'kiwis' which is a
small flightless (but very cute) bird that is unique to NZ. - hence
Kreative Kiwi
My Hubby Derek is a Truck Driver, and I am lucky enough to be a stay at
home Mum. We have 3 girls DeAna 14, Jaime 4 and Ruby 3. Poor Derek he
doesn't have a chance against 4 girls.
Like most machine embroiderers I am ADDICTED TO STITCHING. I absolutely
LOVE watching designs stitch out.
My girls used to have the loveliest personalized clothes, and everything
possible was embroidered on, but not now.. I spend most days testing my
designs, and most nights creating them.
and I LOVE IT! and that is why I digitize and sell my designs. I have
found my niche in life, and I'm doing it!
I take great pride in my designs, and if at any time you have an issue
with a stitchout - let me know. I may be able to help, or fix it.
This is me in one
of the re-creations from my hobby of
historical re-enactment and re-creation
So glad you could stop in,
take a look around the site and visit me here at my bio page.
After living in Ohio until
I was 23, I married a wonderful Navy man I met while attending
Miami University (the one in Ohio). We lived in California for
the first six years we were married while Pete, my husband,
spent a lot of time at sea and in Vietnam. When he decided to
go to law school (silly fellow) we ended up in Columbus, Ohio.
I tended two children and worked in medical research
laboratories affiliated with University of California, San Diego
campus, and Ohio State University.
After about 12 years
in Ohio, we decided we had had enough of the snow and ice and
frozen water pipes and decided we wanted to get back to sunshine
and palm trees so embarked on an odyssey which took us to
Philadelpha, PA; Brunswick, GA; Macomb, IL, Peoria, IL; Tupelo,
MS; and finally (sign of relief) to our current resting place,
Jacksonville Beach, FL.
During those
traveling years, I taught chemistry and physics in high school,
ending up being the science department chair at Stanton College
Preparatory High School here in Jacksonville. In 2007, I
finally retired. Haven’t missed it yet and still don’t have
enough time to get everything done.
Now, how did I
become an ardent fan of machine embroidery and digitizing? A
friend of ours is actually to blame. She digitized our Society
for Creative Anachronism, a medieval re-creation group, devices
and Pete asked me if I wanted an embroidery machine when he saw
the devices. My eyes nearly bugged right out of my head as I
said, “YES.”
That was five years
ago. I have avidly pursued the hobby, embroidering about
everything I can lay my hands on (not too hard to do as one of
our hobbies is historical re-enactment and re-creation.) About
two years ago, I decided it was time for me to put science and
art together and learn to digitize. There is a plethora of
digitizing to do for medieval re-creation.
And now, I love
digitizing more than I like the actual embroidery.
I constantly look
at pictures and scenes and see possible designs. Since I only
have so many items that need to be stitched I needed some place
to put the designs.
This brings me to
The Embroidery Store as an outlet for my designs. I am pleased
to join this wonderful group of digitizers and have enjoyed
having you stop by for a visit. Come back again to visit
whenever you can.
Hi and Thank you for stopping
by and visiting me here at the store!
My name is Debbie Foote. I’ve been known for the Recipe designs
that I have created to use on kitchen towels etc. I love to cook
from scratch and am always looking for favorite recipes and new
challenges to create. I decided to try a few designs using the
digitizing software and since then they’ve become a popular
design.
I live in Ohio with my husband and our black lab. Our children
live nearby and we love being grandparents. We started a new
project last year and are raising chickens for eggs. We added to
that flock just recently. I love taking care of them and I’m the
one that cleans the barn, feeds and waters them mostly. My
husband does the building and will have to remodel a little bit
for our larger flock. We have allot of family that we like to
share our eggs with and we didn’t have enough to go around. Our
grand children love to come and help me gather eggs and feed the
chickens.
I started machine embroidery with my first machine 10 yrs ago. I
love it and have been addicted since. My son got me interested
in the digitizing. I’ve been addicted since.
We have a blended family. I met my husband Chris, he was a
patient at the dental office that I presently work at as a
dental assistant. We were married and raised 4 children. We are
Blessed with 5 wonderful grandchildren, 2 boys and 3 girls and a
new one on the way in Dec.
I’m juggling between work and embroidery. I love digitizing and
embroidery more. I take pride in what I do so if you ever have
any problems with any of my designs please let me know. I take
pride in my designs. When I get home from work in the evening
I’m in my sewing room after supper working on designs and
running my stitch outs. Thank you for visiting my site.
I am a work at home mom and a
retired Air Force wife of 20 yrs.
I have traveled the world with my husbands career and loved it.
My favorite is still Guam.
I sew and donate to New Borns In Need and to my local Church
Humanitarian Projects.
I learned to digitize out of the pure love of the embroidery
machine.
It's great to be an American!
God Bless Our Troops and Bring Them Home Safely.
Hi my name is Laura Clayton. I am
34 and have 2 sons.....Christopher and Austin. I started in
crafts at the ripe age of 7 learning to create ceramics..went
from that to creating porcelain dolls...I knit, crochet, macrame,
draw (when I have time), sew, plastic canvas...you name it I
have done it! ggggggggg
And then came the wonderful world of Machine Embroidery...oh I
love it! I love how a design comes alive as you are inputting
stitches. As you can tell I love the digitizing side of it the
most....but it still amazes me how we create the designs in our
software and the machine sews it out. My Grandmother would have
loved our machines as she had to do all her embroidery by hand.
I have been digitizing for 11 years and I am proud to be a part
of My Embroidery Store. . We are always happy to help you with
any of your concerns just contact us at orders@myembroiderystore.com...we
love for our customers to be happy.

Bonnieta
Tatro
Hi! I am Bonnie, I was born in West
Virginia, but raised in Cleveland Ohio. Graphics digitizer,
commercial embroiderer & business owner. After living from Maine
to Alaska in the Navy, we have settled in the country, so I have
space for my three rescued alpacas. I began sewing at the age of
7, never learned to use a pattern so nearly failed home
economics in junior high! For over 22 years I designed and
created porcelain dolls and their costumes, ranging from antique
reproductions to modern style dolls. I also sculpted several of
my own dolls and taught classes.
I have been married almost 27 years now! We have two sons. Both
boys, Daniel 24 and Jason 22, were home schooled and are
currently attending college. My husband and I are active in our
church and mission programs as he currently chairs a partnership
of churches working in West Africa. We have also trained and led
young adult mission teams working in Peru the past seven years.
My family is an active supporter of the local Boy Scout troops,
having raised two Eagle scouts.
I occasionally travel out of the country with my husband
while he goes to meet with other governments. While he works I
get to see all the sites and museums :0) We have been to
Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Africa. I am looking
forward to Sweden this spring.
My digitizing “career” actually began 7 years ago when I
purchased a home embroidery machine and software package. I self
learned the software as I found out after they had no one that
really new anything about the software they were selling so I
became proficient in a very short time and the local store asked
me to teach classes. This went on for a few years while I
expanded my knowledge of the industry and determined it was time
to obtain a commercial machine and software package and in doing
so I started my embroidery business. I do custom embroidery for
local businesses and home embroiderer’s and digitize
My husband supported this “business” change, as I sold my
doll business and “focused” on embroidery, but he does think
sometimes that he has lost me to the computer!

My name is Carol, I'm from
Lexington, Illinois.
I've been married for 35yrs, have 2
wonderful daughters. Four beautiful grandchildren, 2 girls and 2
boys, ages 12 down to 1yr. They are truly my inspiration.
I've been sewing practically all my life, I learned everything
from the best teacher, my Mom.
Love to quilt, sew, and of course machine embroidery. I
didn't start digitizing until I took an on-line digitizing
lesson. I have been hooked since then!
